“Partners in action” award

The “Partners in Action” Award highlights the commitment of players in the community that have done outstanding work in organizing fundraising events for the Foundation. These partners stand out for their originality and innovation, for generating large amounts of funds, for their community outreach, and for the involvement of their organizing committees. The “Partners in Action” Award has been given out each year in May since 2011.

2014 Edition – Event of $50,000 or More

LA MARCHE EN ROSE 2013

This event has taken over brilliantly from Ottawa’s Weekend to End Women’s Cancers, a walk in which the Foundation’s Gatineau team took part for five years. Thanks to the new event, donations now remain in the Outaouais to help care for women here. The second annual La Marche en Rose was directed by a dynamic and well known spokesperson from the community, Ms. Louise Poirier. The number of participants has also nearly doubled. Funds raised through this event have increased considerably, from $51,189 in 2012 to $103,340 in 2013. Congratulations to the entire Organizing Committee!

Madame Natalie Lamont et Madame Louise Poirier reçoivent le Prix Partenaire en action de Mme Sophie Lemaire, vice-présidente, activités philanthropiques Fondation Santé Gatineau.

2014 Edition – Event Under $50,000

SOUPER AU COEUR DE LA MÉDITERRANÉE (DINNER IN THE MEDITERRANEAN) 2013

The first edition of this event was a resounding success, with 109 tickets sold at $250 each! The flawlessly organized evening was a perfect balance between the dining and conference components. The prestigious event’s chosen venue (the Rivermead Golf Club dining room) was also ideal, bringing together doctors, business people and pharmaceutical industry representatives in a relaxed and friendly environment. The first edition’s success ensured the credibility and continance of this event, which had its second edition on May 31. Congratulations to the whole team!

Dr Claude Lévesque, chef du département de cardiologie du CSSS de Gatineau et Mme Mélanie Ladouceur, représentante Boehringer reçoivent le prix.
